Celebrate Your Freedom to Read!

Lots of other books have been banned or “challenged” across Canada before and since.  See some of those other books here.

Celebrate your freedom to read during Freedom to Read Week.  The freedom to read is part of your right to self-expression guaranteed within the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Find out more at www.freedomtoread.ca.

This is a partial list of the books that have been challenged and/or banned outright but which are available at Esquimalt High School.

Search Esquimalt High School’s library learning commons catalogue to find your next book.  For suggestions go to the “Read & Listen” menu above, or ask Mr. Orme, Esquimalt High’s teacher-librarian, to help you find your next great read!
