Diversity

For many years at Esquimalt High School we have claimed that the diversity of the students who attend the school is one of our school’s strengths.

In that spirit the staff of Esquimalt High School’s library learning commons have started to assess the books, films, magazines and various other media we make available to staff and students to ensure that these collections reflect our school’s, community’s and country’s diversity.

We are using this survey to collect information about a random sample of the novels in our school library learning commons’ fiction collection.  Once we have collected this data we will analyze it to assess how well the collection reflects the diversity of the communities that our school is part of.

If you would like to participate please talk to a member of the school library learning commons staff.  The books that have been randomly selected for this study are currently in a special “Featured Fiction” section near the front of the library.

We welcome your help!
