Borrow a book?

To borrow books before school, during breaks and after school –

  • Use the self-checkout computer at the end of the counter by the library office door.  It’s as  easy as 1, 2, 3!
    1. Click on “Check out”
    2. Enter your student number
    3. Scan the school barcode on the book using the scanner to the left of the computer
  • Bring your book(s) to the front counter and ask for one of the library staff to sign it out for you.

To borrow books during class –

Ask your teacher for a referral slip to visit the library learning commons.  Check in when you arrive with one of the library staff to let them know you have arrived and get any help you need.

Not finding the book or books you want?

Email the title (and author if you know it) to Mr. Orme, Esquimalt High School’s teacher-librarian, at esquimaltlibrary@sd61.bc.ca.  He will email you back to confirm that your request is available or suggest other options if it isn’t.
